Mother Tongues Network (MTN)

We're dedicated to preserving and revitalizing Indigenous languages across Canada. Our mission is to provide accessible and interactive Indigenous language learning resources for people to learn, share, and celebrate the languages and cultures of the First Peoples of these lands.

Bridging the language gap

With a lack of accessible language resources and limited networks for learning and sharing, many Indigenous peoples, especially youth, are disconnected from their traditional languages due to historical injustices and systemic barriers. MTN aims to bridge this gap by offering a comprehensive platform that houses language videos, lessons, and interactive exercises in various Indigenous languages and dialects.
